This feature is designed to move a team from one room to another.


At smaller tournaments there is typically only one tc-room and one ic-room where a team would compete.  The scheduler is pretty good at getting the team as a participant in those rooms.  That makes this function not useful as there is no place to move the team.


At larger tournaments, a challev may need to be split because there are too many teams for an appraiser team to appraise. You will find a discussion of split rooms here.  Which teams are in each of the split rooms is decision made by the person scheduling the tournament.


The current level of support for splits in the scheduler is quite limited. At this time the person scheduling the tournament will typically use import teams (more here) to set the split for each team and place the teams in the correct tc and ic room.  


This feature allows you to move a single team from one split to another.  This might be necessary after the schedule is nearly finished and you realize a team should be in a different split.


The feature is part of the Collect Teams page (from the scheduler dashboard, Collect Teams, at the bottom of the page in the Change Team Rooms area).


To use this feature, enter the team's number in the Team Number control (then press tab to activate).  More controls similar to the screenshot below should appear.  To move the team:


  1. type in the split you want
  2. pick the appropriate new TC and IC room
  3. click the Move button


The team's split, tc and ic rooms will change.


With this feature, you can make changes that disrupt your splits.  After making these changes, it is a good ideas to click Misc Action area Check Splits button  (on the same page) to make sure your splits are still correct.
