The default language for Global Finals is English.  Our appraisers in both team challenge and instant challenge speak English well.


English may not be the native language for your team members.  If it is not, your team may request a translator for Team Challenge. A translator will be available for your instant challenge if your team's native language is other than English.


For Instant Challenge, if your team's native language is other than English:


  • the instant challenge will be translated to your native language and read to the team in that language
  • a translator will be on hand to facilitate communication between the team and the appraisers


For Team Challenge if you request translation, a translator will be present to facilitate communication between the team and the appraisers during


  • challenge prep
  • the interview the appraisers have with the team following the Presentation
  • weigh-in for the structure challenge


The team may perform their Team Challenge Presentation in English or another language.  If not in English, the team must provide 3 copies of the written script of the Presentation during Prep so the Appraisers can follow along.
