The steps in scoring a Tournament
If you are responsible for scoring a tournament, often you get involved a few days to a week or so before the tournament.
At the point you get involved:
- the date and location of the tournament have been determined
- the teams competing have been scheduled
- the appraiser teams are set up
- appraisers have been assigned to rooms
- we may know the score-items each appraiser will be scoring
- the instant challenges used at the tournament may have been selected
- all of these may get adjusted the day of the tournament
You can check on all of these by visiting the tournament dashboard (Tournaments=>dashboard) for your tournament.
To see this page you must be registered as:
- for an affiliate tournament: an Affiliate Challenge Master (ACM for challenge Score Room)
- for a regional tournament: either an Affiliate Challenge Master (ACM) or a Regional Challenge Master (RCM) for challenge Score Room
An example of the dashboard is shown below. The Progress and Notes columns give the current state of the tournament. You can use the buttons in the Actions column to dive down or performs various functions. For example clicking the Select ICs button will take you to a page where you can select the instant challenges used at the tournament. Also note that the dashboard is segmented vertically into sections.
