Who can track teams?
Tracking teams in IC falls into 2 categories:
- viewing the status of any team
- changing the status of any team
All IC Appraisers should be able to see the IC status of any team. Have they checked-in? Have they completed IC?
Changing a team's IC status should be more limited. Relying on IC appraisers to change a team's status is typically a problem as they get a bit behind schedule in their room and this is one of the first tasks to get overlooked. To try to address this, IC tracking has incorporated the following rules:
- IC Challenge Masters can change the IC tracking state of teams
- when IC scoring appraisers submit scores for a team, that team's IC tracking status is advanced to next state (typically Done or Chill-out)
- IC Challenge Masters can grant other officials the ability to change IC tracking status
- this is typically granted to checkin and checkout officials that are not required to be an appraiser
- these officials are not limited to a specific IC room, but can work across all rooms (unlike an IC appraiser)
