The Events part of this website manages events such as Global Finals. Rather than ask you to specify whether you are registering for Global Finals 2012 or 2013, you set the event you are interest in and the site continues to focus on that event until you tell it otherwise.

We call this your current event and you can see it displayed on every page in the banner at the top. It also frequently appears in titles on pages.

If you want to change your current event, pick My Account=>change event. Once you save the new current event, you should see it reflected in the banner.
